Patients' Experiences
1. Thank you...
Hi. My name is Raghav. I was one of the first few
patients to be treated at Apollo BGS Hospital. I was
admitted on 10th April, 2002. I had met with an road
accident and was unconscious. I was first shifted to
a local hospital and from there, my parents arranged
for me to be shifted to Apollo. I had a brain
haemorrhage and I was unconscious for two days. I
thank Dr. Girish Menon, the Neuro-Surgeon at that
time and his team, who infused strength and moral
courage to make me stand on my two legs and who made
me ride a two wheeler with confidence and
courage...once again.I was treated very well and I
am happy that everything turned out well.
Thank you Apollo, for keeping me alive!!!

2. Great Cardiology team
My name is Kamalakar and I was treated at Apollo BGS
for a heart disease. I was admitted on the 30th of
January 2006 for a burning sensation in the lung
region. But, later it was diagnosed as a unstable
angina. I was happy with the doctors who treated me
so well, diagnosed my problem immediately and
administered proper treatment at the right time. I
am also thankful for the nurses and the other staff
of the MICU, CTICU, ICCU, and the WARDS for having
treated me so well.
These
are the people, who put me back on my track of daily
life and stood by my side in my hour of life and
death. My heartfelt thanks to all of those who have
treated me and Let such Doctors, Nurses and
Paramedics tribe increase and bring kudos to Apollo.
Thank you Doctors and Thank you Apollo.

3. Thanks Neurology and Orthopedic team
I am Suma Sudhakar, residing at Columbus, OHIO in
the USA. Last year in some time in October I
experienced severe back pain and it was diagnosed as
sciatica. I was treated in the USA, but in vain. I
have my parents residing here and they asked me to
come to India to get treatment at Apollo. When I
arrived very much against medical advice, my
condition had worsened. The Neurology team at Apollo
(Dr. Ramesh Ranganathan and Dr. Somanath Vasudev)
immediately diagnosed it as disk prolapse in the
lower back, which was confirmed when we got an MRI
done. They immediately put me on 2 months of bed
rest, which the doctors in the Columbus failed in
doing. My pain reduced but this reduction was a
little less than what the doctors had expected. I
was later adviced for surgery and lumbar discectomy
was performed on the 20th of March by the Orthopedic
surgeon Dr. Balakrishna, along with Dr. Ramesh. My
doctors told me that a nerve in my spine was swollen
and this was due to the disc prolapse. Everything
turned out well and now I am able to be a normal
person. Thank you doctors and thank you all the
nurses for having taken such good care of mine for 4
months.
I was
very happy with the treatment and you have enabled
me to join my husband at Ohio, as a normal healthy
human being.
Thank you all.
